This notice explains what Taitil Global Inc. does with personal data collected through taitil.com. It describes this website only.
Taitil Global Inc., Texas file number 0805707826 is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at taitil@taitil.com, or by post at any of the registered addresses listed on our contact page.
We collect personal data in three circumstances, and in no others. We do not buy contact data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Enquiry data is used to answer your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, and to correspond with you about it. Where the GDPR applies, our basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
Server logs are used to operate and secure the site — to diagnose faults, and to apply the rate limit that stops the enquiry form being abused. Our basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and free of abuse.
We use these service providers, and they act on our instructions:
Taitil Global Inc. is incorporated in the United States, and the providers above may process data in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this means your data may be transferred outside it. Where such transfers occur we rely on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for our ordinary business records afterwards. Server logs are kept for a short period, in line with our hosting provider's retention. If you ask us to erase your enquiry, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable form, or object to our using it. You may also withdraw consent where we have relied on it.
Write to taitil@taitil.com and we will respond. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
We update this notice when what we do changes. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
